This is an informal group of home educating families in and around Bedfordshire.
The group is mixed, secular, non-hierarchical: absolutely anyone can organise a home ed related event/activity and post details to the calendar and forum and invite others to join them. Equally, members are free to attend any event/outting that is listed on the calendar (some events may require pre-booking with the organiser of that event).
BedHed works through yahoo groups and is free to join. The yahoo group also contains the calendar of events. However, to protect the privacy of existing members (some of whom have posted personal details), to join the yahoo group, you must have met (any!) existing member, in person.
To join in the fun, if you don’t know an existing member, please email info [AT] bedhed.org.uk in the first instance and someone will respond as soon as they can. (Please bear in mind that emails answered on a volunteer basis and replies may take some time).
Please note that this group is for home-educating families and their children and is not open to those with a professional/paid interest in education and/or education provision.
